Prawn Curry

This is another classic recipe that has been on chow and chatter but its so easy to make and packs a spicy punch!


  • fresh or frozen prawn/shrimp (i call them prawns!)
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 2 small tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup frozen coconut
  • fish fry masala in Indian store to taste, about a tablespoon
  • curry leaves
  • green chilis or dried rice ones
  • ginger/garlic paste
  • pinch of chili powder

  1. heat canola oil, add onion, green chili and curry leaves, then add chili powder, and cook for a few minutes until the raw smell goes away
  2. add the chopped tomatoes, salt and fish fry masala and simmer for 15 minutes, until you get a nice gravy
  3. then add the shrimp/prawns, cover and simmer for another 5-10 minutes
  4. near the end add coconut

and I couldn't resist leaving you with some football/soccer snaps I am going to the watching its really the only time I watch football but I adore the spirit of it and it unites the World!
